Background:

CoinLooting Limited is a Hong Kong-based gaming services company founded in 2019. The company specializes in providing virtual currencies and character enhancement services for online multiplayer games. Its core offerings include in-game gold, power leveling, raid assistance, and achievement completion services.

Challenge:

After acquiring the CoinLooting brand, the new ownership team approached us with the goal of rebuilding the e-commerce solution. The priorities included improving usability for both end users and internal product managers, refactoring the technical architecture, increasing maintainability, and establishing long-term support and performance stability.

Solution:

We began with an in-depth audit of the existing system, identifying architectural and UX bottlenecks. Based on the findings, we proposed a complete overhaul of the front-end and key back-end modules. The project was divided into phases to ensure business continuity.

Key actions included:

  • Refactoring the core logic for product configuration, management, and pricing to allow non-technical staff to manage offers and campaigns. Two major challenges emerged:
    • The legacy system required a custom template for each new game, which significantly limited scalability. We restructured the architecture to introduce reusable, dynamic configurations.
    • Boosting services required highly flexible parameters, so we implemented a pricing engine based on mathematical formulas to support complex configurations without code changes.
  • Reengineering the update mechanism for virtual in-game currency exchange rates to improve reliability and reduce maintenance overhead.
  • Designing and implementing a modern user interface aligned with the visual language and expectations of the gaming audience.

Throughout the project, we collaborated closely with the client’s team to iteratively refine features and priorities in response to evolving business needs.

Outcome

The platform now enables dynamic, campaign-driven sales with minimal involvement from the development team. Time-to-launch for new offers has been reduced from days to hours.

The redesigned interface led to a measurable increase in conversion rates and user engagement. Backend stability and performance were significantly improved, with reduced page load times and streamlined administrative workflows.
